1. Autobahn Indoor Speedway Birmingham

Facility

Autobahn Speedway in Birmingham is the best place to be if you are a speed freak who wants to enjoy karting without any limits. As the name suggests, this facility is designed around the idea of having no speed limit, whether you are a first-timer or an experienced kart racer. 

The facility provides this unmatched experience in a very safe way, with the best possible safety barriers, high-quality karts, and experienced staff.

Race Track

The tracks at Autobahn are designed to mimic the style of Grand Prix tracks so you can experience pro-level racing in a controlled environment. They feature a ‘reflexive’ barrier system to ensure safety at high speeds and have a very high-tech solution for timing the drivers.

The tracks have smooth concrete surfaces for high-speed driving. They feature multiple tight corners to keep you on your toes and are wide enough to provide chances for overtaking.

2. East West Raceways

Facility

East West Raceways is a karting facility located in Woodland, Alabama. Developed by a professional kart racer, the track’s aim is to provide simple and wholesome karting fun to families of all kinds. The promotion of karting as a sport is very important for the owners and that is why this simple, outdoor karting facility was created. 

The facility does not offer any other services and focuses solely on oval karting. It challenges the drivers to compete in a safe and healthy way, whether they are children or adults.

Race Track

The track at East West Raceways is an outdoor dirt track. It is an oval-shaped track where drivers can reach very high speeds because of the lack of sharp, sudden corners. While on the one hand, it allows adults to race at high speeds, on the other it allows the younger drivers to have fun in a very safe environment. 

Being an outdoor track, it faces a thick forest on one side too, making it quite a picturesque experience to race here!

Go-Karts

East West Raceways has races for various kart classes. In total, there are twelve different classes you can choose from if you are over the age of 15. For children, there are also some kart classes to race in. However, you’ll need to bring your own go-kart.

3. Beaver Creek Speedway

Facility

Boasting a number of kart classes for the whole family, Beaver Creek Speedway is a great place to visit if you want to go out for an adventurous dirt karting experience. The track was built all the way back in the 1990s. It was renovated in 2009 and has become one of the top karting destinations in Toney, Alabama. 

This is a facility built only for karting so you are unable to host events here, unfortunately. As far as outdoor karting goes though, it will provide you with an unforgettable racing experience. 

Race Track

The track at Beaver Creek Speedway is made of clay. It is a slightly banked track of the oval variety so you can expect to reach high speeds and plenty of overtaking opportunities. The length of the track is one-fifth of a mile which is very good for a track of this style. 

Since there are no sharp corners or challenging turns, younger drivers will find this track easy to navigate as well. It is a safe, well-maintained track that is perfect for anyone looking for some high-speed racing and drifting action.

Go-Karts

You’ll need to bring your own go-kart, in order to race at Beaver Creek Speedway. There are plenty of racing classes to participate in. These racing classes correspond to different age groups so that everyone can participate in races.

There are no food and beverage options available on the premises. Packing your own picnic, however, wouldn’t be such a bad idea for a family outing. There are also great stands that oversee the entire race track.

4. The Track – Gulf Shores

Facility

The Track is not your average go-karting facility. It’s a complete theme park that offers multiple karting tracks, a rollercoaster, and mini-golf among many other attractions. There’s even an arcade! This is the best place to be if you are trying to plan a fun day out for the whole family in Gulf Shores. 

For bigger groups, there are discounted prices that make the entire experience even more fun! So, if you have a big group with you, The Track gets even better. 

Race Track

Ironically, The ‘Track’ has more than one go-karting track. There are a total of six different race tracks at the Gulf Shores location. The flagship track at the facility is the Wild Woody which is an elevated karting track. On the Wild Woody, you will ride up to three and a half floors and then come down to an exciting, high-speed drop! 

If you’re more of a drifting fan, check out the Slick Track which is designed specially to allow drivers to slip and slide. There is also a Family Track which has a simpler design and the possibility to drive two-seater karts and a Rookie Track for the young ones.

The go-karts available at The Track are all high-quality with fast speeds and safety harnesses to make the driving experience exhilarating as well as safe.
