Race Track

Sandia Speedway features various race tracks for different types of vehicles. There’s a 1.7-mile road course for cars and also go-karts. There are also various oval tracks in various sizes (1/4-mile, 3/8-mile and 1/2-mile) for motorcycles, go-karts and other types of racing vehicles.

Go-kart racing is conducted on different types of tracks, depending on the class and the type of race. It’s best to check with the organizer or the race schedule to see which races are available.

Go-Karts

Sandia Speedway features different go-kart classes for kids and adults. The 50cc engine class is ideal for kids aged 4 – 7 years, whereas the KT 100 go-kart class is designed for 7 – 14 years old children.

There are three types of adult racing classes; the 125cc TAG Class, the 125cc Shifter Class, and the Open Super Class. Take note that you’ll need to bring your own go-kart to race in the kid and adult kart classes.

Food & Beverage

Unfortunately, Sandia Speedway doesn’t have any restaurants or snack bars on site. However, there are two closeby restaurants that are highly recommended, which are Thunder on 9 Mile Hill and Palmer Brewery & Cider House.

Thunder on 9 Mile Hill is famous for its delicious food, such as fast food, snacks, daily specials and an innovative cocktail menu, whereas Palmer Brewery has a great selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and some tasty food, too!
