Located along Speedway Park Boulevard in Albuquerque, Sandia Speedway is a multi-purpose motorsports complex that offers awesome racing experiences for individuals and families.

The facility features several race tracks that accomodate motorcycles, quarter midgets, racing cars and go-karts. Moreover, if you don’t know how to race, Sandia Speedway also has a Performance Driving School, Motor Rider Driving School, and Law Enforcement Driving School. 

The facility also hosts an annual Lantern Festival, where you and your family can enjoy live music and participate in different activities such as volleyball, jumpers, face painting, and much more.

Race Track

Sandia Speedway features various race tracks for different types of vehicles. There’s a 1.7-mile road course for cars and also go-karts. There are also various oval tracks in various sizes (1/4-mile, 3/8-mile and 1/2-mile) for motorcycles, go-karts and other types of racing vehicles. 

Go-kart racing is conducted on different types of tracks, depending on the class and the type of race. It’s best to check with the organizer or the race schedule to see which races are available.

Go-Karts

Sandia Speedway features different go-kart classes for kids and adults. The 50cc engine class is ideal for kids aged 4 – 7 years, whereas the KT 100 go-kart class is designed for 7 – 14 years old children. 

There are three types of adult racing classes; the 125cc TAG Class, the 125cc Shifter Class, and the Open Super Class. Take note that you’ll need to bring your own go-kart to race in the kid and adult kart classes.

Food & Beverage

Unfortunately, Sandia Speedway doesn’t have any restaurants or snack bars on site. However, there are two closeby restaurants that are highly recommended, which are Thunder on 9 Mile Hill and Palmer Brewery & Cider House.

Thunder on 9 Mile Hill is famous for its delicious food, such as fast food, snacks, daily specials and an innovative cocktail menu, whereas Palmer Brewery has a great selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and some tasty food, too!

Hinkle Family Fun Center is one of Albuquerque’s most famous family recreation spots that is located along Indian School Road in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Besides featuring an awesome go-kart track, there are various other attractions that can be enjoyed here. 

There are two scenic miniature golf courses, a large rock climbing wall, bumper boats, bungee jumping trampolines, a paintball course, a laser tag arena, bumper cars and a whole lot more for kids and adults. 

Planning to organize a party? At the Hinkle Family Fun Center you’ll be able to host all types of private events, such as birthday parties, team building sessions, corporate events and much more.

Race Track

Hinkle Family Fun Center features a long 1.8-mile outdoor go-kart track that runs throughout the theme park, giving racers an excellent view of the scenery and all of the other available attractions. 

The facility’s go-kart race track features various different challenges, such as twists and turns, straight sections, bridges and even elevation changes. This track is extremely fun to race on and is kid-friendly. 

To ensure your safety, the track at Hinkle Family Fun Center features safety barriers on both sides and a wide enough track that allows for safe overtaking.

Go-Karts

There are both 1-seater and 2-seater go-karts available here. While the one-seater go-karts are designed for individual racers, the two-seater go-karts are ideal for parents who wish to race next to their kids!

Take note that drivers must be at least 58-inches tall race go-karts, whereas passengers must be at least 40-inches tall.

Food & Beverage

Providing you with excellent food and beverage options after your races, Hinkle Family Fun Center houses a restaurant named Cody’s Cafe. It has everything from delicious pizzas to cotton candy, hot dogs, fries, pretzels, popcorn, ice drinks, and much more.
