Bakersfield Kart Raceway is among the best race tracks in the city. It is located at 4695 Alfred Harrell Highway and features the fastest 1/2-mile race track in the city. Take note that this is a dedicated kart racing track with no other activities. 

While there are no racing packages available they host kart racing events throughout the year. In order to race here, you will have to bring your own go-kart. But don’t worry, there are various classes to choose from! 

Available racing classes are Kid Karts, Rookie, Junior, Senior Sportsman, YC Heavy, Briggs LO206 SR, and KPV Pro. Before participating, ensure that you meet all of the kart and race requirements.

Race Track

The outdoor asphalt track at Bakersfield Kart Raceway is 1/2 mile in length with challenging turns, chicanes, and straight sections. The track is very well maintained and also allows for a small degree of customization. 

While this kart track is located near a river and oil fields, spectators and racers can enjoy a great view. Take note that there are no safety barriers. There is only a fence that surrounds the entire race track. 

Go-Karts

Bakersfield Kart Raceway is a racing facility that requires you to bring your own go-karts – there are no arrive-and-drive packages available. This also means that no go-karts will be provided. 

Each kart class demands specific engine, clutch, age, or fuel requirements to be met. Racers have to follow these rules to qualify for their respective class before being able to race here.

Race Track

Camelot Park has an outdoor race track with wide curves and long straight sections. It is easy for drivers of all ages to navigate and enjoy a fun race with friends or family. The track has a concrete surface that offers a good amount of grip, but it’s also known to be a little hard (it can sometimes amount to a rather bumpy ride). 

The windy go-kart track is well maintained and has safety barriers made of a rail and used tires on each side. It’s also equipped with floodlights to make racing in darker conditions safe. 

Go-Karts

As a family-friendly facility, Camelot Park offers two types of karts: single-seater and double-seater karts. Any racers who are taller than 56 inches are able to drive single-seater go-karts.

Those who do not meet the height requirements can ride as a passenger with a driver who is at least 18 years old. Take note that passengers have to be at least four years old. All go-karts have safety features such as seat belts, roll bars, and bumpers.

Food & Beverage

Camelot Park has a great selection of food and beverages (there’s also a kid’s menu). From corn dogs and pizzas to nachos and fries, there are plenty of food options for children and adults to choose from. 

As far as beverages are concerned, there’s chilled water and soft drinks. If you crave dessert after filling your stomach with some tasty food, they also have donuts, pretzels, and cookies!

Bakersfield Speedway is a dedicated racing facility located in Bakersfield, California. It features a single-race track where racers bring their custom race karts to compete in various types of leagues and competitions.

The facility is huge, with trailer parking available. You can bring your entire family to enjoy a race and make a picnic out of it, but camping is not allowed. Bakersfield Speedway also allows you to host birthday parties within the facility.

Race Track

Bakersfield Speedway has a 1/3 mile oval dirt track. The track is located at 5001 N. Chester Ext., Bakersfield. The types of races organized here are hot laps and heat races. The facility organizes day and night races for different categories, including outlaw kart racing.

If you want to see go-kart racing at this facility, you will only be able to see outlaw kart racing or sprints. The facility only approves single-seater outlaw karts that follow specific rules, including roll bar padding, helmet requirements, fire retardant padding and gloves, driver-side window net, and SFI-approved seat belts.

Bakersfield Speedway does not allow any outside food or beverages. They sell food inside the facility that you can enjoy while watching a thrilling race. 

Available snacks are hot dogs, burritos, chicken strips, french fries, and popcorn, which you can enjoy with chilled water, coffee, Budweiser beer, hot cocoa, or coca-cola.

Buttonwillow Raceway Park is a premium facility that rents out tracks for go-karts and other types of races. It is a 30 – 40 minutes drive from Bakersfield, California. The tracks at Buttonwillow Raceway Park are used for car, motorcycle, and go-kart races.

Here, you can rent the entire race track, which is mostly for race organizers, or a group of friends who wish to race go-karts. On the other hand, you’ll also be able to race here on open test days and only pay for a full day or half a day of racing.

Race Track

Buttonwillow Raceway Park is spread over 498 acres with three separate tracks. There is a West Loop (1.86 miles), East Loop (1.06 miles), and Combined Track (3.1 miles). The Kart Track is 0.69 miles at Buttonwillow Raceway Park. 

It is an outdoor track for go-kart racing with an asphalt surface that offers a good amount of grip. The track is designed to imitate a street race and is perfect for testing your technical go-kart racing skills. It features fast elevation changes, challenging corners, and banked sections.

Go-Karts

Buttonwillow Raceway Park requires you to bring your own go-karts if you wish to race here. Take note that you’ll need to check the track rules and regulations before registration. With over 40 configurations for the track, there are enough challenging twists and turns to practice go-kart racing.

The facility has a Tower Cafe on the first floor of the Control Tower. Whenever the track is rented, the cafe remains open for the entire day. Burgers, sandwiches, coffee, and other snacks are freshly made!
