Best Go-Kart Tracks in Colorado Springs

As Colorado Springs is located near the Rocky Mountains and Pikes Peak, it’s a popular tourist destination. There are plenty of activities to do in Colorado Springs and the options are endless. From breathtaking sceneries to stunning landscapes, there are plenty of activities for family and friends. 

Colorado Springs is also home to an amazing go-kart racing track called Overdrive Raceway. Although it’s the only kart track that is located in Colorado Springs it’s an extremely large and fun place to go-kart racing. Claiming to be the only facility of its kind, Overdrive Raceway is a two-story indoor facility that features two awesome race tracks. Being an ultimate arena for racing enthusiasts, the facility is all about providing a world-class go-karting experience.

They offer arrive and drive packages, racing leagues, events, parties, group/corporate events and summer racing camps, etc. All in all, it is a great facility that is a haven for go-kart lovers.

Race Track

Overdrive Raceway has two indoor go-kart tracks, each located on its own story. The Pepsi Agility Track is sponsored by Pepsi and is suitable for all types of racers. The track is built in a way to cater for juniors, as well as adults. If you’re looking for high-speed karting action then this track is built for you, as it challenges your racing abilities and allows all types of racers to learn and conquer the track.

The second track is called the Rockstar Speed Track. This race track is sponsored by Rockstar and is designed for adult racers who enjoy the need for speed. This is a fun and technical track where racers can hone their skills and learn more about technical go-kart racing.

Go-Karts

The facility offers 4 different types of race karts. The Junior Karts are designed for kids of ages 6 – 12. These go-karts can reach speeds of up to 20 mph and will give kids a thrilling ride while keeping them safe. Pro Karts are designed for both adults and juniors. These karts can reach speeds of up to 40 mph and are for racers of age 13 or above.

There are also EFD Shifter Karts. These high-speed go-karts are only for serious and experienced racers and can reach a mind-blowing speed of up to 50 mph. Designed for racers of age 16 or older, they are sure to give you a rush of adrenaline as you zoom through the race track.

There are also ADA Hand-controlled karts. These karts have been designed specifically for physically disabled people. They are fully hand-controlled with the brake pedal and gas attached to the steering wheel.

Overdrive Raceway has a full-fledged sports bar for you to indulge in after a day of go-kart racing. They offer a large menu with a wide variety of starters, snacks, fast food, wines, beers and whiskeys. SBR Motorsports Park is an outdoor go-karting race track that is located in close proximity to Colorado Springs. For an adventure-filled day with friends and family you’ll be able to visit the SBR track, as it’s just about 15 miles away from Colorado Springs. 

Being a state-of-the-art go-karting facility, it boasts an outstanding track and high-speed go-karts. The facility offers kart rentals, parties, group/corporate events, racing leagues and also has a full-fledged go-karting school where kids, youths and adults can learn more about go-kart racing.

Race Track

SBR Motorsports Park has an outdoor race track that is extremely fun to race on. The track can be sectioned into 6 different configurations. The longest configuration is about half a mile long.

Paved with asphalt, the track provides a surface with immense grip for go-karts. You’ll get to enjoy challenging twists and turns, as well as several straight sections. There is no doubt that you’ll have a great time racing this go-kart track. 

Go-Karts

The facility has two different types of go-karts that are available. One for kids and the other for adults The Cadet Karts are designed to be driven by kids as young as 5 years old. They are safe, ergonomic, easily driven and can teach the racer and prepare them for high-speed head-to-head racing.

The Stratos “Long Life” MCR Karts can reach speeds of up to 40 mph and are for adults who are more experienced with go-kart racing. These karts are very well-maintained with outstanding performance, while ensuring the safety of racers.

Food & Beverage

The facility does not have a full-fledged bar, grill or cafeteria but it has a small snack bar where you can enjoy some drinks and snacks. This is a great place to relax during races and to fuel up for your next go-kart race.
