1. Crofton Go Kart Raceway

Facility

Crofton Go Kart Raceway is located just off Crain Highway and features a long and exciting go-kart track. While you’re only able to race go-kart here, you can also book the venue for various events that you wish to host. 

If you have a birthday party, corporate function, or a private event to host, this go-kart track is perfect. There are bleachers and picnic areas around the track for a fun day out with family, friends, or even with larger groups.

Race Track

The outdoor race track at Crofton Go Kart Raceway is 1/2 a mile in length and features a total of 20 challenging twists and turns. The track is also constructed wide enough to make overtaking much easier. 

The track itself is situated within a forested area, guaranteeing a beautiful and scenic view while racing go-karts. It’s also equipped with safety barriers and flood lights for added safety.

Go-Karts

The formula 1 style go-karts from Shaller are gas-powered and have an output of 6.5 hp. These Honda engines are bound to give you a thrilling kart racing experience. You’ll also have the option to choose between single-seater and two-seater go-karts. 

Single-seater go-karts can be operated by drivers who are at least 54” tall and 8 years old, while two-seater go-karts require the driver to be at least 16 years old. Passengers of two-seater karts can be as young as 2 years old!

Race Track

The outdoor race track is quite technical and can be laid out in various different configurations using movable safety barriers. The asphalt surface of the track also ensures that there’s enough grip during races. 

While the track is open on all event days, you’ll need to check their times on the official website for non-event days. For arrive and drive sessions, the track is usually open on weekends. 

Go-Karts

While most of the racing leagues and championship require you to bring your own go-kart, United Karting also has a wide range of rental karts on offer. You’ll have the option to pick between the Compkart N32, Carolikart, Compkart Bambino and Club United go-karts.

This Autobahn Indoor Speedway location is about 10 miles away from Crofton and features a large 60,000 square foot facility that houses two large indoor kart racing tracks. 

Apart from go-kart racing, you’ll also be able to enjoy other types of activities such as ax throwing field camps. Autobahn Indoor Speedway also organizes racing leagues and competitions where various prizes and trophies can be won. So if you’re in Crofton, this area is pretty close by.

Race Track

This facility features two types of race tracks, one is called LeMans and the other one Monaco. The Monaco race track is slightly longer and a little more technical, catering to more experienced racers. 

On the other hand, the Le Mans track is rectangular in shape and a little more compact, with tighter turns. Both tracks are fun to race on and they’re also equipped with a lap timing system to track your performance.

Go-Karts

Autobahn Indoor Speedway has two types of go-karts. For adults, the OTL Storm EFDs are available and for younger racers, the OTL Youth Karts. All go-karts have an electric engine which is extremely quiet and has zero emissions.

Big Easy Speedway is an attraction inside of the Six Flags theme park. It’s located about 10 miles from Crofton, making it easily accessible. This race track was first opened in 1996 and was originally named Sahara Speedway, before it was renamed to Big Easy Speedway. 

Other than go-kart racing, Six Flags offers a wide variety of other attractions that are family-friendly. These attractions range from roller coasters and water slides to merry-go-rounds and log flumes. There’s plenty of family action here for an entire day out!

Race Track

The Big Easy Speedway has a total length of 506 feet and is located outdoors. It has a concrete surface that allows for good grip when racing and also has safety barriers on each side. 

It’s built right into the theme park with various underpasses and sharp turns. Races here are exhilarating as you’ll zoom past roller coasters and pass underneath the railway tracks.

Go-Karts

The go-karts here are powered by a gasoline engine. What makes these go-karts interesting is that they’re modeled after race cars and can reach top speeds of about 17 mph.
