The K1 Speed facility in Burbank is the best go-kart racing track if you’re located in Los Angeles, California. This facility has various arrive and drive packages for racers, which make it extremely convenient to race go-karts!

You’ll also be able to host your private parties or any type of corporate events in this facility by simply booking the venue. They even have a party or function room and they’ll even help you with the food catering. 

Besides go-kart racing, K1 Speed Burbank also features various karting leagues, cups and challenges for different age categories, so make sure you check that when you pay them a visit. 

Race Track

This K1 Speed facility in Los Angeles features a single track with a 10-kart starting grid. Adults and youths race on the same track, but at different times, to ensure that everyone has a fair chance at winning!

This race track has 10 challenging corners and various straight sections for you to practice your overtaking skills. Similar to all other K1 Speed race tracks, this one has a cutting-edge lap timing system, so if you’re fast enough your times will be featured on their website!

Go-Karts

The go-karts available here are OTL Storm EFDs and Junior Karts. All karts feature an eclectic motor and have the ability to reach up to 45 mph! However, the Junior Karts are speed limited to about 20 mph, which is still very fast!

It’s important to keep in mind that Junior racers need to be at least 48” tall in order to race here. In order to race the adult go-karts, racers need to be at least 58” tall. All go-karts are safe and feature the latest technology from the Italian manufacturer, OTL.

Food & Beverage

This K1 Speed location in Los Angeles has a nice cafe called the Paddock Lounge that overlooks the entire race track. This means that you’ll be able to have refreshments after your races or watch your family and friends race against each other!

MB2 Raceway Sylmar comes in a close second place of the best karting tracks in Los Angeles, as it features a modern indoor track that is suitable for adults and kids! 

The great thing about this location is that you’ll also be able to enjoy various other activities such as karting camps, grand prix events, virtual reality experiences and even laser tag, which is super fun!

You’ll also be able to book this venue for any type of private parties or corporate events and the team is warm and friendly. They are always willing to help out with their recommendations.

Race Track

The indoor race track at MB2 Raceway is well designed and features many challenging corners and straight sections. The concrete surface is grippy allowing you to practice your overtaking and cornering skills. 

Each adult race lasts for 14 laps and you’ll be able to monitor your race performance with the use of their lap timing system. When you’re ready to race, you’ll receive a short briefing and you’ll also get a racing helmet to go with it!

Go-Karts

There are two types of go-karts available at MB2 Raceway. Drivers who wish to race with adult karts need to be at least 12 years old and 57” tall. On the other hand, youth karts require drivers to be at least 48” tall so that they can comfortably reach the gas and brake pedal. 

All go-karts are manufactured by OTL and are imported from Italy. While the youth karts are speed limited, the adult go-karts can reach speeds of up to 45 mph! These OTL Storm EFD go-karts are also equipped with a roll bar and bumpers to ensure a fun, yet safe ride!

There is a small snack bar and a candy stand where you’ll be able to purchase from a small selection of items. Unfortunately, they have a policy where no outside food and drinks are allowed, but you’ll be able to grab whatever you need right next to the concession stand!

K1 Speed Torrance is my third favorite place to race go-karts and it’s an awesome indoor karting facility if you happen to be in Los Angeles. Similar to the Burbank location, it features various arrive and drive packages that are suitable for adults and youth racers. 

For bachelor, birthday, or any other type of parties you’ll be able to book their function room and they’ll even organize the catering for you. This facility also has some really nice decorations and a billiard table for some additional fun!

Race Track

The track in this facility is called the Torrance Track and is slightly more compact than the Burbank Track. Although it’s slightly more compact in design, it features very tight turns and also various straight sections where you’ll be able to overtake other racers. 

The lap timing system is also extremely accurate and with large monitors hanging everywhere, you’ll be able to see and evaluate your kart racing performance. The race track is also equipped with safety barriers on each side so racing here is safe and fun at the same time

Go-Karts

As with all K1 Speed locations, this one in Los Angeles features their standard OTL Storm EFD and Youth Karts. These karts are equipped with an electric engine that has the ability to reach top speeds of up to 45 mph and 25 mph respectively.

These go-karts also feature a roll bar, safety bumpers and are also easy to maneuver. They emit very little noise and have zero emissions, due to their electric motors. Drivers can race with adult karts if they’re 58” or taller, and youth karts if they’re 48” or taller.

Food & Beverage

The Paddock Lounge is located right next to the concession stand, tucked away nicely at the corner of the race track. This also means that you’ll have a fantastic view of the karting action. Here, you’ll be able to enjoy all types of American food and beverages.

If you’re looking for a little more family-oriented fun mixed with some go-kart racing action in Los Angeles, then head on down to SpeedZone. SpeedZone Los Angeles is a theme park for adults and kids that features various types of attractions. 

Here, you’ll get to enjoy go-kart racing, miniature golf and an arcade where kids can play to their heart’s content. You’ll also be able to take advantage of their group and birthday party packages, which also includes catering options. 

They also have promotions from time to time for larger groups. So, if you’re spending a day out with your kids and plan to race karts in Los Angeles, this place is definitely worth a visit!

Race Track

SpeedZone features a total of three exciting go-kart tracks, each being a different style. On the Slick track, you’ll be able to enjoy some drifting action with a total of 10 drivers. You’ll need to be at least 58” tall to ride these types of karts.

The Turbo track is a speed track with single and two-seater go-karts. Up to 20 karts can race on this track at any given time! The Lil’ Thunder Rookie Track is for kids who are at least 42″ tall, where they can practice their racing skills.

Go-Karts

There are three types of go-karts. The single-seater karts are for single occupants and are used on the Slick Track and the Turbo Track. There are also two-seater karts for parents who wish to race alongside their child.

Lastly, the Rookie Karts are designed for kids and are speed limited, to ensure their safety. All go-karts feature a roll bar and safety bumpers, making them safe and fun at the same time.

SpeedZone features one of the best menus of all go-kart locations in Los Angeles. You’ll be able to enjoy a wide selection of starters, entrees, desserts, beverages and more! They also make sure to change the menu from time to time, so it doesn’t get boring.

5. Go Kart World

Go Kart World first opened its doors in 1993 and has been around a couple of decades now. Featuring a wide variety of go-kart race tracks, this facility has been visited by various celebrities including Kanye West, Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, Weeman and various others. 

Although Go Kart World doesn’t feature any other types of attraction other than go-kart racing, you’ll be able to have a thrilling time here. You’ll also get to make use of various discount and group packages, and can even book an entire track for a birthday celebration or private events!

Race Tracks

Believe it or not, Go Kart World features a total of 6 tracks and they’ve been adding new tracks every now and then. All 6 go-kart tracks are extremely fun and feature a different layout and design. 

Tracks like the Mini Indy, Formula Track, Super Track and Turbo Track are more for racing, whereby tracks like the Slick Track are designed for drifting action. Let’s also not forget about the kids! Kids race at the Kiddy Track! All races take about 3 – 4 minutes to complete!

Go-Karts

Similar to the number of tracks, Go Kart World also features various types of go-karts. The go-karts for the Slick Track can go up to 40 mph and require you to be at least 58” inches tall. The smaller go-karts for kids are speed limited and can only reach about 3 mph, making it safe for kids to race.

The fastest go-kart here are called Euro Karts, which can go up to 45 mph, but require the driver to be at least 60” tall. In essence, there is go-kart here for almost every age category!

Unfortunately, there seem to be no food options at Go Kart World. However, there are plenty of great places to dine at in and near Los Angeles, so you’re bound to find something suitable.
