PGP Motorsports Park is a premier go-karting facility located on 144th Ave SE, about 20 miles away from Tacoma, Washington. The facility features an outdoor race track spread over 1.6 million cubic yards. PGP Motorsports Park is a dedicated facility with a racing league, endurance races, and 4-stroke racing events.

The facility also offers arrive-and-drive karting sessions every day of the week. The race track is the main attraction of PGP Motorsports Park. The facility also allows you to host group events for friendly competitive racing. It also offers racing classes for young and adult go-kart enthusiasts.

Race Track

The outdoor go-kart track at PGP Motorsports Park is spread over a 22-acre site, with a total of 15 twists and turns, challenging your skills as a go-kart racer. The track is also customizable and can even facilitate two races going on simultaneously. 

Each race lasts for about 13 minutes and offers you a great view of the surrounding scenery. Your family members and friends who aren’t participating can watch your race uninterrupted from the stands, which are located trackside. You can also book the entire track for larger group events. Each session is between 75 to 120 minutes, depending on the package you pick.

Go-Karts

PGP Motorsports Park has single-seater Birel karts available. Take note that you’ll need to be at least 14 years to race here and drivers below the age of 18 require a parent to be present. 

All go-karts feature a 9 hp gas-powered engine 40mm axle and a hydraulic braking system. These go-karts are also equipped with adjustable pedal positioning, ergonomic seating, and an impact-absorbing body. You’ll definitely experience a thrilling kart racing session here.

Grand Prix Raceway is a dedicated indoor go-kart facility that is about 8 miles away from Tacoma, Washington. It is situated next to Tacoma Discount World and features a 1/4-mile track with various arrive-and-drive packages. They are also known to host competitions and racing events for experienced go-kart racers.

The staff at Grand Prix Raceway can tailor a competition for team-building sessions or other private parties. They also offer interesting party packages with birthday specials or corporate events. 

Race Track

Grand Prix Raceway has an indoor track that is 1/4 mile in length. It features a relatively compact design with various twists and turns, an asphalt surface for improved grip, and a safety barrier on each side.

They have arrive-and-drive packages for members and non-members at different rates. While they also offer group packages for groups of at least 8 people, you’ll also be able to join standard sessions by yourself. Each race lasts for about 20 laps.

Go-Karts

The Grand Prix Raceway facility has its own race karts for all competitions and arrive-and-drive sessions. When joining a competition here, you won’t be able to bring your own go-karts. All go-karts are single-seater karts and are imported directly from Italy. 

The racing chassis are identical, assembled with Honda engines, best-performing racing slicks, and centrifugal clutches. You’ll also need to wear a DOT-approved helmet when racing these go-karts, which they will provide before the race. You’ll also be able to bring your own.

While the Grand Prix Raceway facility does not offer food and beverage for individual go-kart racers, they have catering available for corporate clients. They have snacks, appetizers, barbecue, and fine dining options for special events.

Sykart Indoor Racing Center is about 20 miles away from Tacoma, Washington but still nearby enough to enjoy a great karting session. It is a dedicated go-kart facility with two racing tracks; the Rookie Track and the Pro Track.

Here, you’ll have the option to choose one of two arrive-and-drive packages that are available for individual racers. However, the facility promotes its tracks for group reservations to host competitive events.

Sykart Indoor Racing Center also hosts private events by renting out the tracks and their private meeting room. If you want to book a private event for your friends or colleagues, you can book one of the tracks for a specific number of people.

Race Track

Sykart Indoor Racing Center has two go-kart racing tracks. The Rookie Track has an average amount of twists and turns and is designed for the amateur racer. Anyone from the age of 8 and above can speed down the Rookie Track. It allows a maximum of 6 participants per race. 

The Pro Track permits a maximum of 12 participants per race and people who are at least 16 can participate. However, they’ll need to show their identification for safety purposes. Both tracks are fun to race on, but if you’re looking for more of a challenge, then you should opt for the Pro Track. Both tracks are about 1/4 mile in length. 

Go-Karts

Sykart Indoor Racing Center has 1 & 2-seater karts available for racing. You can use the 1-seater karts for both types of tracks, Rookie & Pro. However, the 2-seater karts are only allowed on the Pro Track.

The go-karts features in Sykart Indoor Racing Center are high-performance karts that can reach speeds of up to 30 – 40 mph. While the single-seater karts are for solo racers, the two-seater go-karts are ideal for parents who wish to race alongside their child. All go-karts are equipped with various types of safety features such as seat belts, roll bars, and bumpers.

Mike N Terry’s Outdoor Fun Park is a 15 to 20-minute drive from Tacoma and close enough for a fun day out with family and friends. The facility is a theme park dedicated to many attractions that include a mini golf course, batting cages, paintball, and of course a go-kart racing track.

Although this family fun park hosts many visitors, it doesn’t have any group or party packages. However, it’s still a great place to spend an entire day of fun and excitement with your family members, especially if you’re looking to race go-karts.  

Race Track

The facility has a single outdoor race track for go-kart racing, which has a concrete surface. It features a family-friendly design with various sharp corners and hairpin turns. It’s also located in a scenic area of the fun park and offers great views while racing. 

Since the facility offers more than go-kart racing, each attraction is separated using a fence. The go-kart track has the usual outdoor rail barrier system with curb backing and used tires on both sides.

Go-Karts

The Mike N Terry Outdoor Fun Park has single and double-seater karts available for go-kart racing. Single-seater karts have a 58” height limit and racers need to be at least 10 years of age to race them. 

On the other hand, the double-seater karts can only be driven by racers who are at least 16 years old, and passengers are required to be at least 40” tall and 4 years old. All go-karts are Shaller karts and feature safety bumpers, seat belts, and comfortable seats with roll bars for added protection. 

Food & Beverage

Mike N Terry’s Outdoor Fun Park is a place of many attractions but unfortunately, there are no food or beverage options available here. There are a few benches scattered around the park where you’ll be able to eat and drink (if you’ve brought them along). However, there are several restaurants within a few minutes drive of the fun park.
